Overview of Hyundai Eon


Hyundai India is going to unveil all new small car on 14th october, bookings are open. The information about the all-new small car is almost out, it is based on all-new platform and nothing to do with the Hyundai Santro and i10. This car has been in talks from last year and it was codenamed as Hyundai HA H800. It will be sold as Eon in Indian market and will also be launched in other countries across the Globe. Though no official annoucement has been made about the price range of Hyundai Eon Small Car but it is expected that the base model (D-Lite) will be priced around Rs. 2,50,000 and top-of-the-line model (Sportz) will be priced around Rs. 3,80,000.

Hyundai India has been able to price Eon so competitively because it has been developed in-house, will be manufactured in India and will be exported to other countries like India is the manufacturing hub for i10, Santro and i20. The all new hyundai small car will be positioned below Santro and will compete with the likes of base model of Chevrolet Spark and top model of Maruti Alto. Eon will sport a 814cc 3 cylinder petrol engine which is expected to generate maximum power of around 55 Bhp and maximum torque of 76.5 Nm. The fully loaded variant of Eon (Sportz) is expected to feature power steering, front power windows, air conditioner, driver side airbag, body coloured bumpers, music system with 4 speakers, USB port, aux-in and remote levers for fuel lid plus tail gate.

Hyundai Eon will follow Hyundai's latest fluidic design philosophy and it is expected that it will be the best looking hatchback in its class. The top-variant (Sportz) of Hyundai Eon is expected to feature designer wheel covers and front fog lamps. Hyundai Eon features huge peel-back head lights and crystal clear front fog lamps, the top model (Sportz) of Eon will also feature chrome finish front grille, which gives the car upmarket look. It features huge vertical tail-lamps which further enhaces the look of the car. The latest fluidic design theme has also been continued inside and the interiors are expected to be feature rich and spacious. Eon will also feature front seats with integrated head-rests to reduce costs. Hyundai Eon will be more spacious and stylish in comparison to the Maruti Alto and Chevrolet Spark. The instrument cluster will feature a large speedometer in centre, flaked by tachometer on left side and fuel gauge on right side.   1. I think Hyundai EON is better option than Alto 800 as its more technically advanced and reliable.This car looks good,gives high mileage and its price has been set aggressively.
